Contribution Purpose
--------------------

In case you have very sensitive columns, you may want to modify
the flow rate slowly when you are starting up or shutting down
your LC. This macro allows you to do this. It works with
1090, and 1100 pumps.




Contribution Structure
----------------------

        One macro file, 'slowflow.mac'.



Prerequisites
-------------

        - MS Operating system supported by the revision of the 
          ChemStation in use 
        - The LC ChemStation software, Rev A.04.xx or higher


Installation
------------

        - Copy the macro to the ChemStation's executable directory,
          'C:\Chem32\CORE' by default.


Use
---

Load and start the macro with:

  macro SLOWFLOW.MAC,go

The macro will ask you for the initial and the final flow rate,
and the time needed for the flow gradient (time to speed up the
flow rate).
It will then control the pump and slowly modify the flow rate.

The solvent composition will not be changed. Take care that
you already select the correct solvent composition before
starting this macro.
